I have a unique history in the pre-press/pre-media and packaging industry that has allowed me to build skills and strengths to serve some of the iconic brands globally for the last 35 years. Starting as a press helper, then a mechanical assembler (stripper) and leading the change management process to implement the now industry standard desktop solutions, allowed me to gain perspective from all areas of the color and packaging workflow. I have a passion for best practices, and I am always grateful to find learning opportunities. One of my favorite activities in this great industry is having the opportunity to educate and mentor. I firmly believe that we must do everything in our power to raise the common denominator of industry knowledge. This philosophy has served me well, and I want to see this industry thrive for the foreseeable future. I have had the opportunity to create and review various curriculum aimed specifically at color management, print quality management and the packaging process. I create bespoke training materials based on the audiences’ experience level and have had the opportunity to teach as an adjunct instructor.
Having the direct responsibility of implementing various color management and print quality management programs beginning in 1998, I have had success in starting and leading these programs on six continents in nearly 30 countries, with hundreds of brands. Working with some of the most globally recognizable brands, I have lead color and print projects/discussions, administered global store audits (product research and competitive analysis), initiated printer optimization projects, lead press characterizations and verifications, provided data driven print quality management feedback and improvement plans, supported printers (along with their suppliers) and brand clients with press approvals onsite and remotely, conducted printer plant audits and been a dependable and innovative technical resource.

I am a firm supporter of industry best practices and have had the opportunity help author various industry standards and specifications including CGATS TR 011 (Graphic technology - Package development workflow - Design concept through approved production file), CGATS TR 012 (Graphic Technology - Color Reproduction And Process Control For Packaging Printing), FIRST 4.0, 5.0, 5.1, 6.0 & 7.0, Flexography Principles and Practices 6.0 and established the schema that later became ISO 20616-2:2020 Graphic technology — File format for quality control and metadata — Part 2: Print Quality eXchange (PQX). I have worked as a Co-Chair and author for FIRST (Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications and Tolerances) 4.0, 5.0, 5.1, 6.0 and 7.0. I hold certifications for PQX, G7 and BrandQ.
