GMG ColorServer creates uniform color standards automatically. Print houses and prepress companies often receive data in different color spaces or must prepare files for many printing processes; checking and normalizing PDFs by hand is slow. ColorServer reduces that effort with fully automatic color conversions for all printing processes.
GMG DeviceLink technology
- CMYK-to-CMYK conversion transforms data from one printing standard to another while preserving the integrity of the black channel.
- CMYK reseparation standardizes the color composition of the data.
- RGB-to-CMYK conversion produces separations that are smoother than those made with ICC profiles.
- Spot color-to-CMYK conversion exploits the maximum gamut of the CMYK color space.
Built on the Adobe PDF Library
PDF-to-PDF conversion handles both CMYK-to-CMYK and RGB-to-CMYK conversions directly in your PDF files.
Benefits
- Standardized, simplified color management
- Consistent color across offset, digital and large-format printing
- Maximum production reliability
- Easy handling with no expert knowledge required
- Up to 50% savings in prepress time and cost
GMG SmartProfiler
With the wide-format version, ColorServer includes GMG SmartProfiler, a user-friendly tool for creating ColorServer profiles and printer calibrations. It lets any user calibrate, recalibrate and profile a wide variety of output devices without in-depth color management knowledge, and supports central control of several devices of the same or similar type. A connected spectrophotometer is required to measure test charts.
Who it is for
- Digital and large-format print houses
- Flexo and packaging print houses
- Users who create their own profiles, calibrate output devices or work to in-house standards
