Techkon SpectroDrive w/ ExPresso

The Techkon SpectroDrive is an automatic scanning spectrophotometer that measures the complete color bar on a printed sheet in seconds. It combines density and spectral color measurement with a built-in track and motor, which helps press crews hold consistent color from the first sheet to the last. It can also be used as a handheld device for spot checks.

How it works

The motorized measurement system scans a 40-inch press sheet in under 8 seconds and sends the spectral data wirelessly to the PC running Techkon ExPresso software. ExPresso displays color density, dot gain, gray balance, Lab values, and recommendations on how to adjust the ink on the press. SpectroDrive works with any press type or format, reads any color bar, and ships as a complete turn-key system.

Choose your model

• SpectroDrive Basic: CMYK and spot color density, dot area, dot gain, print contrast, densitometric gray balance, front and reverse printing, statistics, reports, and data export. Supports up to 6 printing units.
• SpectroDrive Pro: everything in Basic, plus colorimetric dE, Lab, and LCh display, InkCheck ink key recommendations, and ISO 12647 and G7 evaluation. Supports up to 16 printing units.

A Basic system can be moved up to Pro with the ExPresso Basic to Pro upgrade.
