Xitron Navigator RIP v14

Xitron Navigator RIP v14 is the RIP-only edition of the Navigator Harlequin RIP, built on Hybrid Software Helix technology for commercial, packaging and specialty print production. It interprets PDF, PostScript and EPS files and outputs to hundreds of platesetters, proofers and digital devices, so you can update the RIP and keep your current output device.

What is included

• Harlequin core RIP: native PDF processing so transparency and modern PDF constructs are handled correctly, with PDF 2.0 support (page-level output intents, Black Point Compensation and spectrally defined spot colors).
• Newer standards: Navigator v14 added support for PDF/X-6, PDF/X-VT3 and Color Exchange Format (CxF), plus interpretive speed improvements.
• ICC color management: built into the RIP.
• Preview: a zoom preview at the RIP workstation.
• Load balancing: optional, between two or more RIPs.
• Perpetual license: you pay for the RIP, workflow and options you use, with no subscription.

RIP only or RIP plus workflow?

Navigator RIP v14 is the RIP alone. Options

Options include HDS and HXM screening, Simple Imposition, Impostrip Pro Offset imposition, CIP3 ink key data, a PDF Raster plug-in for soft proofing and third-party output, vDot proofing plug-ins for many Epson printers, and Inkjet Direct for film positives on Epson printers. Availability and licensing depend on the edition, so confirm with us before ordering.

System requirements

Windows 11 Pro is required for the RIP. Xitron’s recommended Navigator v14 PC is an Intel Core i5 6-core CPU, 8 GB RAM, a 512 GB SSD and a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port for Xitron interfaces, running Windows 11 Pro, Windows 10 Pro or Windows Server 2019, 2016 or 2012 R2.
