The Nix Spectro L spectrophotometer is a portable spectrophotometer and densitometer aimed at small to medium businesses in print, packaging, and graphic arts. It captures 9-channel spectral data, upscaled to 31 channels, across the visible spectrum (400-700 nm), and pairs with the free Nix Toolkit app so you can measure, compare, and manage color from your phone.

Key features

  • 9-channel spectral data (upscaled to 31 channels), 400-700 nm
  • 8 LEDs: broad-spectrum white, violet, and ultraviolet
  • M0, M1, and M2 measurement modes for substrates with optical brighteners
  • Densitometer, quality control, and color library management functions
  • Measures samples down to 16 mm
  • Bluetooth 4.0 wireless connectivity, with haptic vibration and RGB indication
  • Scratch-resistant lens and a dust and water-resistant metal enclosure
  • Compatible with Nix adapters for liquids, powders, and soft or textured surfaces

Better control at the press

Measure ink density with the Spectro L to keep color consistent through your print process, spot errors early, and get clear, actionable direction for correcting them. Optional paid subscriptions add Pantone, RAL, and NCS libraries for matching.

Spectro L or Spectro 2?

The Spectro 2 adds true 31-channel measurement, a 2 mm aperture version that measures down to 3 mm and suits print control strips, and compliance extras: an individual inspection certificate, a ceramic reference tile, and recertification programs. If you need those, choose the Spectro 2. For everyday color QC and matching on a tighter budget, the Spectro L is the better fit.
